Kodiaks name new head coach

“We are proud to have someone of Jamie’s calibre join our organization,” said Kodiaks president Craig Briere. “He brings a wealth of knowledge from having played at every level in Canada as well as an ability to train, develop and mentor younger players as was demonstrated through his Okanagan Football Academy. We are excited to welcome Jamie, Stacey and the kids to Prince George and to the Kodiaks family.”

Rebels & Huskers meet in play-offs

There wasn’t much to choose from between the Westshore Rebels and Valley Huskers of Chilliwack in the B.C. Football Conference regular season. Both clubs finished 7-3 and tied for second place while splitting their season series 1-1.

The Rebels and Huskers will settle their regular-season saw-off Sunday in their BCFC playoff semifinal game at 3 p.m. at Starlight Stadium in Langford.

Kodiaks get one more crack at Broncos

The Prince George-Kamloops rivalry is getting stoked again for another Saturday night junior football slugfest.

The Prince George Kodiaks will get their third and final shot at the Kamloops Broncos when the teams renew their vows to get on the right side of the B.C. Football Conference scoreboard when they lock horns at Masich Place Stadium (7 p.m. start).
