There wasn’t much to choose from between the Westshore Rebels and Valley Huskers of Chilliwack in the B.C. Football Conference regular season. Both clubs finished 7-3 and tied for second place while splitting their season series 1-1.
The Rebels and Huskers will settle their regular-season saw-off Sunday in their BCFC playoff semifinal game at 3 p.m. at Starlight Stadium in Langford.
Cohen Freeze connected on four field goals and the Kamloops Broncos’ defence held late in the game to secure a 14-9 victory over the Kodiaks in B.C. Football Conference action on Saturday in Prince George.
Prince George recovered an onside kick and marched into Kamloops territory with time winding down in the fourth quarter, but the Kodiaks could not find the end zone and turned the ball over on downs.
Quarterback Reid Vankoughnett and the Kamloops Broncos’ passing offence came to play on Saturday at Hillside Stadium, but the club fell short of victory against one of the top teams in the B.C. Football Conference.
