BCFC 2018 Performances of the Year

Starting December 13 and every other day through New Year’s Eve we spotlight the top 10 single game performances of the past season

#1

Jevon Cottoy

BCFC Semi-Final

Langley Rams Jevon Cottoy is the lone player to make our top 10 list twice following up his #8 nod in the CJFL semi-final performance against the Hamilton Hurricanes. If you paid attention to the single game performances at all this season you would have known this one was coming as the top performance of the 2018 season. As terrific a display as some of our players put on, it wasn’t even close.

The Rams were at home to a VI Raiders squad they had split a pair of games with during the regular season so expectations, to outsiders at least was that this would be a very interesting and closely fought affair. Cottoy had other ideas as he absolutely scorched the Raiders secondary with 7 receptions for 246 yards and all 4 of the Rams touchdowns in a 37-26 Rams win.

This Jevon Cottoy domination was a harbinger of things to come for Rams opponents throughout the post season. In the 4 conference and interconference post season games Cottoy would register 25 receptions for 645 yards and 8 touchdowns as well as another 3 rushing touchdowns. Of the 15 Rams majors in the playoffs, Cottoy would contribute 11 of them.

This was the BCFC 2018 Performance of the Year and an example of a player upping his game when his team needs him most like we have seldom seen.
