BCFC 2018 Performances of the Year

Starting December 13 and every other day through New Year’s Eve we spotlight the top 10 single game performances of the past season

#3

Jake Laberge

Week 3

Back on August 18th the Raiders were home at Caledonia Park hosting the Langley Rams and on the wrong end of a lopsided 34-7 score as the 4th quarter got underway. You might forgive some of the Raiders faithful who left the park early and who knows, maybe a Ram fan or two decided to catch an early ferry since the game was essentially over. Raiders QB Jake Laberge had other ideas however, as he stormed his team back with 4 straight scoring drives on the way to a 35-34 Raiders win.

On the day, Laberge finished with a workmanlike, if not spectacular 21 of 30 passing for 334 yards 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. He would ultimately have a direct hand in all 5 of the Raiders touchdowns as he scored both his team’s rushing majors as well.

When his junior football days are over Jake might look back at this game as his single greatest personal performance.

And those aforementioned Ram and Raider fans who left early might be kicking themselves for missing out on one of the greatest comebacks in BCFC history.
