BCFC 2018 Performances of the Year

Starting December 13 and every other day through New Year’s Eve we spotlight the top 10 single game performances of the past season

#4

Maximilian Joseph

Week 7

The player with probably the coolest name in the BCFC is another of our multi-dimensional players and he provided our #4 Performance of the Year.

Is he a receiver or a running back? An injury shortened season and playing time at both positions mean those outside the Rams locker room will not be sure where he will see the majority of reps in 2019. But rest assured he will be a threat at both as well as returning kicks.

While Joseph would only carry the ball 64 times this season, a week seven 27-3 road win over the Westshore Rebels saw him get 24 of those carries and he absolutely went off for 226 yards and 3 TDS. He also added a reception for 22 yards against a tough Rebels defence.

Maximilian would finish up with 1332 all-purpose yards before an injury in week 9 ended his season, making him unavailable for the Rams march to the Canadian Bowl.

We can only wonder how a player with his abilities might have affected the outcome that Saturday afternoon in Saskatoon. The Rams will be hoping to find out for themselves as they and Joseph have the opportunity to host the Canadian Bowl November next year.
