Week Two 2018 – The Standouts

Vancouver Island Raiders punter Nikolas Hunchak set a new Raiders game record for punting average in a game. Nikolas punted 6 times for a 51.7-yard average. The old record was 46.5 average that was established in 2010 by Mark Mueller.

Okanagan Sun defensive end Nicholas Dheilly was credited with four sacks in the game against the Rebels. It is the most sacks in a game since Cory McCoy of the Sun had four in 2016.

Valley Huskers Dawson Davis record 12 total tackles against the Langley Rams Saturday night. The 12 tackles set a new Huskers record for the most tackles in a game. He is also the first player to register 12 or more tackles in a game since 1999, when Brad Newman of the Tri-City Bulldogs registered 13 in a game against Rams.

The Westshore Rebels were sacked 9 times by the Okanagan Sun last Saturday. The nine tied a Rebels record for most sacks given up in a game. It tied the 9 given up by the then named 1987 Victoria Payless by the Abbotsford Airforce. Interesting note is that current Rebels President Rob Lervold was quarterback of Payless that season.
