OFFENSIVE

TE JESSIE

QB-WESTSHORE REBELS

When the son of former Grey Cup & Superbowl winner Tim Jessie transferred from Carleton University this past off-season, Rebels head coach Shane Beatty was confident his club had signed a key piece to get back to the play-offs after a 1-7 season in 2021.

The massive signal caller out of St. Pauls High School in Winnipeg made a statement in leading his club to a 36-20 road win over the defending national champion Langley Rams.

Jessie was stellar in completing 16 of 22 passes for 222 yards, 3TDS & 1 interception. He also added a rushing touchdown of his own.

DEFENSIVE
KELON THOMAS

DL-OKANAGAN SUN

Kelon Thomas was one of the most dominant defensive lineman in the BCFC in 2022 and picked up right where he left off in his club’s 50-19 rout of the VI Raiders in Nanaimo Saturday night.

The Scarborough Thunder grad made life miserable for the Raiders QB as he was always around the ball with 5 tackles, 1 sack and 1 pass knockdown for the the Sun.

Opposing quarterbacks will be looking for #9 before the ball snaps this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS

DYLAN MANOCHA

RETURNER-VALLEY HUSKERS

The Valley Huskers proved to be the most inhospitable of hosts as they throttled the expansion Prince George Kodiaks 31-5 Saturday night in Chilliwack.

Kick returner Dylan Manocha helped Husker special teams keep the field tilted in his club’s favour with 5 punt returns for 85 yards & 2 kick returns for 63 yards.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

ZION BROWN-Dogbe

RECEIVER-WESTSHORE REBELS

Joane Cardinal Schubert (Calgary) grad Zion Brown takes our first ever BCFC Rookie of the Week with a very un-rookie like performance.

Zion caught 11 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in the Rebels opening day win
