Players of the week presented by the BC Lions

The BCFC Players of the Week presented by the BC Lions are here!

On the offensive side of the ball,  VI Raiders, quarterback Jake Laberge was precise with the football going 20/27, for 348 yards and 3 touchdown passes leading the Raiders to a 39-7 victory of the Kamloops Broncos. The win marked the first of the season for the Raiders as they improve their record to 1-1 on the season. For the Broncos, they slip to 0-2 on the season.

Our defensive Player of the Week is no stranger to this award in the BCFC. Langley Rams defensive back Kyle Clarot was all over the field recording 7 tackles, 1 assist, 1 interception, leading the Rams past the Okanagan Sun by a score of 7-0. Kyle is the reigning BCFC Defensive MVP from 2019, and looked to be in mid-season form early in 2021. The Rams victory improved their mark to 2-0 on the season, while the Sun now sit at 2-1.

Last but not least, on special teams, Ethan Homan from the Valley Huskers wins his second consecutive special teams POW after 8 punts for 281 yards, 1 single, 2/3 FG (22,15), and 2/2 on extra points. Ethan helped "flip the field" with his punts all day for the Huskers who now sit at 2-1 on the season, after their thrilling 22-17 road victory over the Westshore Rebels who now sit at 0-2.
