A pair of VI Raiders are being singled-out for their efforts in a huge result for Nanaimo's junior football squad.

Quinton Bowles is the BC Football Conference's defensive player of the week, while James Parker is the special teams player of the week. The Raiders went on the road and tied the previously undefeated Okanagan Sun 31-31 in Kelowna on Sunday. That effort came on the heels of a blowout loss to the Sun in week five in Nanaimo.
