Offensive Player of the Week

D’Saun Greenaway / REC / Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels fell 19-15 in a tight road game to the Okanagan Sun in a rematch of last years Cullen Cup, but offensively thing are looking bright for the Rebels thanks to one of their latest additions.

Greenaway joined the club this season via York University and the 6’5, 205 pounder delivered as the Rebels said he would. Greenaway led all BC receivers this week as he caused the Sun secondary and the conference to take notice.

Defensive Player of the Week

Tye Kitzman / DB / Okanagan Sun

5 tackles / 1 assist / 1 INT /    1 batted ball

Vernon native Tye Kitzman returned with his physical brand of football for the Okanagan Sun and had a huge game for his club Saturday night.

In addition to rattling Rebel receivers, his game ending interception sealed the win for his club.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Bryce Mayoh / Returner / VI Raiders

2 kick- off returns for 146 yards

The VI Raiders went on the road to open the BCFC season and were in a dogfight with the Langley Rams. The Raiders came away with a 20-13 win, largely on the efforts of Mayoh who had two big returns to lead to critical points for his club.

He chipped in 4 receptions for 48 yards as well.
