Paul Shortt passes along some sad news as the BCFC loses a member of its fraternity to cancer

Gerry Hornett was a former member of the Saskatchewan Roughrider and Ottawa Rough Riders where he played center.

He joined Victoria Payless as an assistant coach in 1987 and coached until 1990. In 1994 Gerry joined the BCFC and was BCFC League Head Coach for that year.

In 1995 and 1996 he was back to coaching and was head coach of the Vancouver Island Sharks. In ‘95 he was the recipient of the BCFC Coach of the Year award.
